Vintage Blast Buying Guide- Does this Retro Booster Really Workout?

Vintage Blast Review and Price Guide-

Editor’s rating:

Vintage Blast is a supplement that has received a lot of glowing reviews online. However, a lot of them aren’t quite detailed about why it’s good, so we took it upon ourselves to get a closer look at how it works—and if it really works.

As we delved deeper into the huge pile of reviews, we did find that it doesn’t work for everyone. Not only that, but there are some rather troubling aspects to it that you need to be aware of.

What is Vintage Blast?

Vintage Blast is a supplement you can buy online. It’s a pre-workout supplement, so you drink it about 15 to 30 minutes before you start your workout.

It’s in powder form and you mix half a scoop to 2 scoops (depends on your tolerance) with 14 to 16 ounces of water first. It doesn’t have any calories, and any carbs or sugars either. It uses stevia leaf extract as a sweetener.

Vintage Blasts tries to differentiate itself from other pre-workout supplements, which it calls “glorified stimulants”. Instead, it offers a 2-stage formula designed to let you start strong and then finish strong.

The “start strong” ingredients include L-citrulline Mallate, L-arginine AKG, L-carnitine Tartrate, L-Alanine, and Anhydrous Caffeine. These are all designed to give you energy, boost your endurance, improve muscle movement, enhance coordination, and focus your concentration.

Then there are other ingredients that help you to “finish strong”. These include D-Aspartic Acid, N-acetyl Tyrosine, and Synephrine HCL. But the most notable is micro-encapsulated caffeine that releases gradually into your system, so that you can get the energy you need for hours on end. You don’t get that sudden burst of energy that leaves you hanging, and you don’t suffer the resulting crash as a result.

Aside from these main ingredients, Vintage Blast also contains various vitamins, minerals, and other micronutrients. You have vitamins C, B5, B6, and B12, along with zinc, potassium, flush-free niacin, magnesium, and sodium.

Vintage Blast is made by Old School Labs, and it’s based in California. That base is also where they make and distribute Vintage Blast. The supplement is 100% vegetarian, 100% gluten-free, and certified free of GMOs.

Customer Reviews

It’s not a secret that Vintage Blast is highly regarded. Most of the consumer items that garner top average scores on sites like Amazon were only able to do so because they have very few consumer reviews. But Vintage Blast has thousands of reviews and it’s the site’s #1 Bestseller in Sports Nutrition Endurance and Energy Herbal Products. And almost 4 of every 5 consumer reviews give it a perfect score.

Take a look at the general trend of the comments:

Lemme tell you, VB tastes great. That’s one. Two, it gives me a GREAT pump at the gym, & after 4 or so weeks of using it, I DO NOT feel that crash effect.” – D, on Amazon.

“This product is amazing. I’ve been on the hunt for so long trying to find a good, clean, effective pre workout supplement, and I have been SO pleased with the Vintage Blast. You get amazing energy and the same pump as you would with other brands, just without all the harmful chemicals and fillers. It also tastes delicious.” – Amazon customer.

“All in all, I’m a customer for life.”Female fitness instructor

However, there are still certain issues that indicate it isn’t perfect even for those who gave it top marks. Perhaps the most notable complaint is that it’s darn expensive.

“It is a bit expensive, but not too bad in my opinion.”Todd, on Amazon.

“I would have given it 5 stars if it was a bit cheaper, as the cost is pretty high.” – Rusty Shackleford

It also didn’t work for everyone, and for some it even caused rather distressing side effects.

I didn’t feel that this did anything for me. I didn’t get the energy that the product says it delivers. The whole two stage delivery, I just didn’t feel it.” – Michael Peek

I’ve only taken this once and after I worked out, I thought I was going to pass out. I started feeling really dizzy and I did nothing different in my workout or intake of food and water for the day.” – Amazon customer.

The Science and the Facts

What you have to understand is that this is a caffeine-based preworkout supplement, and there may be some issues with the caffeine. It’s listed by the NCAA as one of their banned substances, although you may have to consume a lot of it for it to show on the doping tests.

Caffeine does offer a lot of benefits, but it also comes with other potential risks. It’s addictive, and withdrawal symptoms can include “headache, fatigue, depression, irritability, insomnia, increased or irregular heart rate, and increased blood pressure.”

Where Can You Buy Vintage Blast?

It does seem like your best bet is to go to its Amazon page. In fact, even on the Old School Labs manufacturer website, you’re directed to buy on Amazon.

Here on Amazon, a one-time purchase has 20 servings with a price that roughly matches other good formulas on the market. However, that’s with free shipping. You can also buy in bulk and enjoy savings of close to 20% for 3 to 5 products , last we checked.

The Final Verdict

This may work for you, as it has with many of its customers.  But it is expensive and its use can be risky. What you may want is something that’s just as effective, but it should be reasonably priced and the risks are lower. But if you’re an adventurous soul, then Vintage Blast is a good bet. The payoff is good, although you may be some slightly less risky options out there.
